And in *almost* unrelated news, I think I have a good pattern draft for the Mary Jane Booties. {Yes, that would be Girly Girl fabric on these booties.} I changed some lines, re-measured some things and added elastic on the heal, as you all suggested.
I have the pattern pieces drafted in a downloadable/printable pdf... but I haven't authored the directions yet. Stay tuned. As soon as the roller coaster stops, I might be able to knock that out. =)~jen~
