Finally- The NEW Gathered Bag
Ok, I've worked out the sizes and the construction details for my final product. I made it match my sketch to my liking. Whoohooo. I'm so happy to show you the Gathered Bag, new to the Recycled Uniforms line of bags. All my bags are made with actual military uniforms, not camo off-the-bolt.
My grommets were bigger than represented in the sketch, so I added half the illustrated amount. My design was inspired by the yellow ribbon support associated with our service members who are deployed & actively fighting. I wanted a flash bag, lots of room, a little bit of uniform and a lot of yellow ribbon. In fact, I might make the yellow scarf-tie bigger on future bags, to give a nice full bow on the side of the bag.
Here's the entire bag:
The bag has one zippered pocket inside the gathered bag. The fabric on the bottom could easily hold everything for baby, even a change of clothes for the toddlers. In fact, its safe to say that this purse could be your "movie theater purse". Its 13" across and about 15" deep. The straps are about 26" long, also. The purse carries under your arm and hangs about to your hip.
Thanks for checking it out!

LUV IT!!!
Is it on Etsy yet???
Luv it!!! Have you ever had requests for recyled Navy uniforms? They don't have a true camo uniform like the other services. Also, do you ever sell your patterns for any of the bags you make?

Love, love, love the idea of the yellow ribbon. So clever! : )
Most excellent! When can we get one? I knew that Carmen would love it for sure! Great idea!!
