Can I tell you how many times I got in trouble as a kid for using the fabric scissors around the house? A zillion. Maybe more.

I have a tip for all you sewing and quilting enthusiasts.

Tie a scrap of fabric to the handles of your cloth-only scissors.

This will be the instant queue that the family needs. Fabric = fabric. It makes sense and has worked pretty well for the past 16 years. Also, by tying fabric to your handles, it will mark your items as yours during classes.
