I remember when I first started buying thread cones about 14 years ago. I only bought them because I had recently purchased a serger. I remember thinking "No one will EVER go through a whole one of these things!"
As it turns out, I sew A LOT more these days than I did in college. Holy smokes, yet another thread cone is on his way out. I did have the foresight to buy a bunch of cheap cones while I lived in Korea so this one will be replaced quickly.
Adios little cone!
