
This is the super gift of all giant gifts- Its a KING size quilt from my mother-in-law! {Click on any of the pictures and you should be able to see the feathered quilting better.}

The in-laws lived in South Africa for 4 years. While there she was able to work with truckloads of traditional African Schwe-Schwe fabrics. This is part of her stash collection of reds and blues. She's a long arm quilter, so she also did all the fancy feathers and outline quilting all over the design. The tessellating pattern, in the center, I think she told me it was called Square Dance. THANK YOU!

And check out this border print action. Those circles are probably at least 8" wide. She added these borders around all 4 edges. I'm telling you this quilt is HUGE. AND warm! I'm not too sure how I'll be washing such a beast, but I'll let you know when it happens.
