The Super Gift
This is the super gift of all giant gifts- Its a KING size quilt from my mother-in-law! {Click on any of the pictures and you should be able to see the feathered quilting better.}
The in-laws lived in South Africa for 4 years. While there she was able to work with truckloads of traditional African Schwe-Schwe fabrics. This is part of her stash collection of reds and blues. She's a long arm quilter, so she also did all the fancy feathers and outline quilting all over the design. The tessellating pattern, in the center, I think she told me it was called Square Dance. THANK YOU!
Click on that above picture, and it will enlarge to 7" x 23".
And check out this border print action. Those circles are probably at least 8" wide. She added these borders around all 4 edges. I'm telling you this quilt is HUGE. AND warm! I'm not too sure how I'll be washing such a beast, but I'll let you know when it happens.
