A New Bag

I'm working on a new bag design. I think I might be able to incorporate the "final draft" design in with my Recycled Uniforms line. Its going to be fun fun fun.

For now, I wanted to show you this glimpse of the rough draft pattern. I really like how the rough draft turned out (it just doesn't look exactly like my drawing yet.)

Little story about this purse- Its 95% recycled. The stripes on the exterior are {or used to be} a Tommy Hilfiger traditional oxford style men's shirt. 100% cotton. You can see on the front of the bag, the line of white buttons from the shirt's center front. The brown top and straps are faux suede from a skirt in my closet. Its lined with linen. Its the same linen from the Snowman project tutorial. The only thing purchased new for this project was the 4 silver rings & brown 9" zipper.

Of course its got a zippered pocket in the interior. I'm pretty sure every bag needs a pocket, and a zippered one is just an added bonus.

I'm lovin this sample, but I can't wait to see how the final turns out. Stay tuned! ~jen~
